InDesign v2.0 is more than a standard upgrade. Adobe has made the application Mac OS X native, added support for industry standard XML, and more importantly increased the level of AppleScript support. Most software companies who implement AppleScript support in their products provide only the most basic examples or none at all. Realizing that AppleScript support is critical in a professional desktop publishing environment, Adobe wanted to include some advanced scripts that would quickly allow their customers to integrate InDesign into their workflow.

In an effort to better inform their customers about the advantages of InDesign in this key area, they turned to Write Track Media, the leaders in professional AppleScript development. "The Adobe® InDesign® Product Management Team subcontracted the development of some critical automation example AppleScripts to Write Track Media for the InDesign 2.0 CD." says David Cohen, Adobe InDesign Product Manager.
As a result of this union, Write Track Media developed several powerful and advanced AppleScripts. These scripts were designed to showcase many of the new features of InDesign v2.0 and were developed to run under Mac OS X or 9.1. Not only do these scripts showcase the advantages of Adobe InDesign, they are a perfect introduction to the development style of Write Track Media. David Cohen raves, "Write Track Media's project development has been extremely professional, prompt, thorough. They delivered a suite of example InDesign 2.0 AppleScripts that are clearly written and well documented. Generally speaking–they ROCK!"
