Write Track Media Automates Website at the Associated Press

Associated Press (New York, NY) – Utilizing the power of myFactory® – the Automation Server – Write Track Media has created a custom solution that automates the creation of the graphics distribution website for the Associated Press (AP).
Once an artist completes a graphic and is ready to post it to the website for distribution to AP members, they drop it into one of a dozen folders that are being monitored by myFactory. Whenever a Freehand file is dropped into one of these folders, it is automatically used to generate an EPS file, a PDF file, a thumbnail, a preview, and a HTML file that links to all of these. The entire folder is then placed onto the live AP website. At the end of each day, myFactory automatically moves daily files into a dated folder where it stays for 14 days before again being moved into a "Retired" folder.
